BALI BIRD WATCHING TOURS

Day 01 BALI – LABUAN BAJO – RUTENG
Pick up from your hotel in Bali, transfer to the airport for flight to Labuan Bajo (West Flores). On arrival in Labuan Bajo will meet by your tour guide, transfer to local restaurant for lunch. After lunch, proceed the trip to Ruteng. Dinner and over night at Dahlia Hotel or similar.

Day 02   AROUND RUTENG TOWN BIRDING
Earliest breakfast at hotel. Drive to Rana Mese to start our activity to observe the bird diversity. Back to Ruteng town for lunch. In the afternoon, a small excursion to Golo Lusang, try to find one of Flores Endemic bird. Back to Ruteng for dinner and over night.

Day 03 RUTENG – PAGAL – LABUAN BAJO BIRDING
After breakfast at hotel, continue the trip to Pagal try to find some endemic bird including Parrot and Kingfisher. Lunch at local restaurant in Ruteng. Afterwards, drive back to Labuan Bajo with small activity on the way. On arrival, direct check in at Golo Hilltop Hotel or similar for dinner and over night.

Day 04 AROUND LABUAN BAJO BIRDING
Breakfast at hotel. Then proceed drive to Puarlolo, we start to observe one of the most Flores Endemic “FLORES MONARCH”. Back to Labuan Bajo for lunch. Afternoon excursion drive to Pota Wangka and start the activity around Wae Sipi. Back to hotel for dinner and over night.

Day 05   LABUAN BAJO – KOMODO – LABUAN BAJO BIRDING
At 04.00 early morning, proceed sail to Komodo Island to explore the Komodo Dragons. Here also is a good place to observe the Cockatoos and Serubfowl. Lunch will serve on boat. Back to Labuan Bajo, on arrival direct check in at hotel for dinner and over night.

Day 06 LABUAN BAJO – BALI
Breakfast at hotel, free at leisure till time to transfer to the airport for flight to Bali. On arrival in Bali, will transfer to back to your hotel in Bali, and Afternoon go short visit at the mudflats around Benoa-harbour for birding.

Day 07.BALI BIRDING
At 6.00h we drove to the Uluwatu-temple. At 8.00h we left this place and had a short visit at the mudflats around Benoa-harbour. At 10.00h we drove to Gilimanuk, at the western side of Bali. Arrival time at 13.30h. We checked in at hotel Sari and arranged a guide for the next day for Bali Barat NP. Late afternoon until dark we did some birdwatching in the mangroves at Gilimanuk.

Day 08. BALI – BALURAN BIRDING
At 5.00h we went to Labuhan Lalang and took the boat to Bali Barat NP. We entered the park via the Teluk Telor entrance. First we went to the watchtower nearby the aviary where captive-bred birds are released. After this we went to the area around the aviary. At 10.30h we returned by boat to Labuhan Lalang and did some birding along a dry river in the forest near the village. At 14.00h we took the ferry to Katapang (Java). In Katapang we took a mini-bus and drove to Baluran National Park. We hired a guesthouse at Bekol, inside the NP. After we entered the park, there was just a little time left for some bird watching around Bekol.

Day 09 BALURAN – BROMO BIRDING
From 5.00h untill 7.00h we bird watched around Bekol. From 7.00h untill 15.00h we went to the mangroves around Bama. In the afternoon the temperature was very high and bird activity very low. From 16.00h untill 18.00h we birded along the road from Bekol to the entrance of the park.

Day 10. BROMO BIRDING
From 5.30h untill 10.15h we did some birding around Bekol and along the entrance road. The rest of the day, we traveled to Gunung Bromo. We arrived at Gunung Bromo around 19.00h.

Day 11. BROMO - SURABAYA
From 5.20h untill 10.15h we birded in the crater of Gunung Bromo. Birding was disappointing here. Around noon we left for Surabaya. For overnight stay.

Day 12 . SURABAYA - SULAWESI
Your arrival at Sam Ratulangi airport Manado,meeting
service,transfer to Tangkoko Nature Reserve.Afternoon birding,at the same time we can see a small mammal on earth(Tarsius) and a group of black    monkey Sulawesi(BlackMacaca nigra).Night at Mama Roos homestay near park. (Dinnerincluded).

Day 13 : BIRDING AT TANGKOKO NATURE RESERVE.
We should see endemic species birds of Sulawesi;Green-backed Kingfisher,Lilac-cheeked Kingfisher,Sulawesi Dwarf Kingfisher,Purple-winged Roller,Red-backed Thrush,Small and Large Hanging Parrot,Yellow-breasted Racquet Tail,Ornate Lorikeet,Yellow and Grey-sided Flowerpecker,Sunbirds,Honeyeater and Munia.
(Dinner,Breakfast and Lunch included).

Day 14 : BIRDING AT TANGKOKO NR.
We will arise early this morning and bird along the coast trail,We may also see Spotted Dove,Stephan Dove,Emerald Dove,Brown Cuckoo Dove,Philippine Scrubfowl,Blue-backed Parrot,Yellow-billed Malkoha,Hair-crested Drongo, Silver-tipped Imperial Pigeon,Knobbed Hornbill,White-necked Munia,Rainbow Bee-eater,Sooty-headed Bulbul,Sulawesi Scops Owl,nightjar,etc.(Dinner,Breakfast and Lunch included).

Day 15 : BIRDING AT TANGKOKO NR
Still birding early morning for seeing tiny birds,with pleasant song,"Sulawesi Babbler
and Whistler", Kingfisher,Red-biled Pitta,Green Pigeon.Afternoon,We will bird along the
coast(Use a boat) for seeing pretty colors of Great-billed Kingfisher and Ruddy
kingfisher.(Dinner,Breakfast and Lunch included).

Day 16 : TANGKOKO - BOGANI NANI WARTA BONE NATIONAL PARK
We will drive early morning down to Doloduo,is a small town near
Bogani(Dumoga Bone NP). It takes 5-7 hours,birding along the way.afternoon birding,We should see Maroon-chinned Fruit Dove and Ochre-billed Boobook(Endemic species).Night at Tante Min homestay.(Dinner,Breakfast,Lunch and Dinner Included).

Day 17 :BIRDING AT BOGANI NANI WARTA BONE NATIONAL PARK
MANADO
Drive early morning to Tambun where we can see Maleo bird and its nesting ground,its egg bigger 4 times than hen's egg.We may also see Black-naped Monarch,White-necked Myna,Ashy Woodpecker,Raptors,Lesser coucal,etc. The trip continues,drive away back Manado,check-    in Ritzy Hotel near city.(Dinner,Breakfast and Lunch included).

Day 18 : Manado-Airport.
Transfer to the Aiport for destination by Airlines away out of Sulawesi The End of Tour.
